Memorial Park
A nationally significant memorial park featuring a 23-meter tall Monument and Pavilion building. The landscape design includes a large reflective water pool that mirrors the Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque, creating a powerful visual connection between the memorial and the city's spiritual heart.
Interfaith Complex
A beacon of mutual understanding and harmonious coexistence, featuring a mosque, church, synagogue, and educational center. The landscape architecture creates a unified podium that brings all faiths together, with carefully designed gardens and public spaces that celebrate shared values.
Waterfront Development
A prestigious waterfront residential development on Reem Island featuring pedestrian bridges, promenades, and integrated landscape design. The project includes detailed hardscape elements, shade structures, and water channel treatments that create seamless connections between residential towers and public spaces.
Historic Development
Managed landscape digital delivery for landscape design containing more than 64 assets with complex interfaces, contributing to the delivery of one of the landmark giga projects in Saudi Arabia. The project is a world-class heritage destination near the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site, honoring the historic foundations of the First Saudi State while creating contemporary public spaces.
Community Development
A visionary affordable housing community along Dubai Al Ain Road. The landscape architecture weaves together the natural terrain with parks, open spaces, and streetscapes, using sustainable design strategies including Reed Bed Systems for water treatment.
Public Realm Design
Pre-concept master planning for the 438-hectare Expo 2020 site. The public realm design created interconnected outdoor spaces that welcomed millions of visitors, featuring innovative shade structures, native planting, and sustainable landscape solutions.
Waterfront Promenade
A vibrant waterfront promenade along Abu Dhabi's Corniche featuring contemporary landscape design, pedestrian walkways, and integrated public spaces. The project creates seamless connections between the urban fabric and the waterfront, with carefully designed hardscape elements and native planting.
Mountain Landscape Development
A spectacular mountain destination development in the Asir region, featuring traditional Asiri architecture integrated with contemporary landscape design. The project transforms the highland terrain into a world-class tourism destination with terraced public spaces, native planting, and sustainable infrastructure.
ABOUT
Mohamed Fayed is a visionary Chartered Landscape Architect with over a decade of experience, specializing in the integration of digital innovation and sustainable design. As the Digital Design Lead at AECOM, Mohamed has led transformative projects across the Middle East, leveraging advanced tools like BIM, Digital Visualization and AI to create iconic, environmentally responsible spaces.
Growing up in Al Ain, UAE—a city renowned for its lush landscapes and architectural integration with nature—Mohamed was immersed in an environment where architecture and nature existed in harmony. His passion for landscape architecture was sparked during childhood, surrounded by the city's unique parks and natural elements like the Falaj water channels and date palms.
His academic journey began at the Canadian University of Dubai, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture. During his studies, he was captivated by the deconstruction design philosophy, which emphasized the seamless integration of open spaces within architectural frameworks.

I believe AI is not a replacement for creativity—it's an amplifier. By integrating artificial intelligence into landscape architecture workflows, we can explore more design possibilities, optimize sustainability metrics, and deliver projects with unprecedented precision and speed.
FutureScape is my custom-built AI platform designed specifically for landscape architecture workflows. It combines generative AI, parametric design tools, and environmental analysis to accelerate the design process while maintaining the human touch that makes great landscapes.
The platform helps with everything from initial site analysis and concept generation to plant selection optimization and sustainability scoring. It's a tool that augments creativity rather than replacing it— allowing designers to explore more options and make better-informed decisions.
I believe the future of landscape architecture lies in the thoughtful integration of technology with traditional design wisdom. AI allows us to process vast amounts of environmental data, simulate long-term growth patterns, and optimize for both beauty and ecological performance.

Pioneering the integration of BIM, Unreal Engine, and AI in landscape architecture. I led the establishment of AECOM UAE's landscape BIM processes, workflows, and standards, significantly enhancing project delivery methods.
From site selection to long-term management, sustainability is woven into every decision. I incorporate drought-resistant plant species, high-efficiency irrigation systems, and renewable energy sources to ensure projects contribute positively to their environments.
